Learn about the opportunities available to the independent documentary producer. Emphasis is placed on today's market for one-hour factual programs through screening and discussing examples of biography, history, social issues, science/technology, natural history, travel, and entertainment genres. Lectures emphasize story, structure, and style and also address related budget, financial, and technical aspects of television documentaries. Each participant conceives and drafts a written synopsis for a one-hour television documentary with the option to independently produce a presentation tape. Specialists with expertise in archival footage, interview techniques, location shooting, editing, and other areas are invited as guest lecturers, subject to availability.

Wow! That's soo cool! Now you're teaching...I have one question for you teacher...it's driving me crazy.
What sort of converter are they using when compressing videos for itunes. They manage to get a 3 Hour HD movie into 1.5 gigs and I have a 20 minute vid that's like 2 gigs.
Even when compressed with the visual hub still cant seem to get the conversion right.
What is the secret?
Thanks teacher.
