Hmmm...this may sound weird, but was she on the show Popular? It's been off the air for a couple years, but she looks familiar.
Jenshine - it's not weird at all, you are absolutely right.
For two years, Adria played "April Tuna," president of the student body and UFO nerd, on the WB's Popular.
She's also appeared on Felicity, Seventh Heaven, Judging Amy, Boston Public, and most recently, Medium.
Both seasons of Popular are out on DVD now, and I think she's really funny on the show.
She is gorgeous! Ive always loved short, red hair on women!
I have a great Canon also.
I want to get into portraiture more - how did you light the photo? I'd love to know. Thanks, Ghone.
I lit her portrait using a Photoflex Starlite Kit, with two 1000 Watt lights. One of the lights was to the right and above the camera, and the other was behind her, and to the left of the camera, as a kicker to give her a rimlight. I had a grid on the backlight to control the light, and keep it from spilling on the backdrop.
In addition to that, I had a white bounce card (just a large piece of foamcore, really) below and to the left of the camera as a fill.
I didn't separately light the backdrop, since the spill from the lights lit it just fine.
It's a fairly standard 3 point lighting setup, but the softboxes on the lights give a very soft, beautiful illumination that's very flattering.
