Kids Matter

Tarleton/Dawn Productions and The Performer's School joined forces to create Revealing Media Group, collaborating with middle- and high-school-aged students to write, produce and shoot short films about the social issues they actually face.

Eight films make up the series, taking on bullying, peer pressure, cyberbullying and social media, social exclusion, stress and overscheduling, depression, drug and alcohol pressures, gun violence in schools, and gender identity. Made for, by and with young people, they're built for the classroom as much as the screen, sparking honest discussion about hard things.

David makes the series with Adria Dawn, who writes and co-directs. He produces, co-directs, shoots and edits, and the films are distributed through Alexander Street, McIntyre Media, ClickView and Learn360, educational platforms used by schools around the world. Identity was an Emmy nominee and won a silver Telly Award for Diversity and Inclusion.
