College student Emma falls into a self-destructive pattern after a series of traumatic events her senior year. Caught in a downward spiral, will she be able to pull out of her mental-health crisis?
Spiral marks Tarleton/Dawn's eleventh film for social change, and the first made primarily with college-age students. Written by Adria Dawn, the film drew its students into the ideation and development, alongside the performances and crew.
The film is currently on its festival journey, with a 2026 run already spanning the United States, Europe, South America and Asia. It has also earned two Emmy nominations from the New York branch of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, for Societal Concerns and Best Director.
