The Making of Double Vision · Sony Pictures
David produced and edited behind-the-scenes documentaries for Sony Pictures, including The Making of Double Vision, shot in Taiwan, and The Making of Warriors of Heaven and Earth, shot in China.
On Double Vision, the three producers worked side by side for months to shape a mountain of footage into a 22-minute program that played on television around the world, intercutting film clips with documentary footage, interviews and narration. Studio first cuts usually come back with pages of notes. This one didn't: the first cut delivered to the client was the version that aired.
A year later, David teamed up again with producer and translator Mei-Juin Chen to create the making-of documentary for Warriors of Heaven and Earth, shot in China.
